I've been looking at Italian pottery lately, specifically Medieval wares. I found this site on Pozzo della Cava in Orvieto.
Part of this cave contained a pottery during the 13th-16th centuries.
There are photos of pots/shards that were unearthed at the site.
I think this pitcher has amazing form.
