Slate is taking pottery in high school, last class, every day, and comes home looking like you! You're too kind, and haven't been here for a while :-) I'm slowing down, but still manage to stay clean somehow. Meanwhile, my studio looks like a tornado ripped thru. Hope to see you guys soon.

Dude, I'm not whining! :-) Ha. Tom can throw twice as many pots as most of us in any given time and not have a speck of clay on him. He's the tidiest potter I've ever seen. I on the other hand leave the studio looking like I've been rolling around in the splash pan.

I am a big fan of the towel and still use diapers that Evelyn (age7) wore as a new born! They're very soft and now pretty raggety. Since I don't have running water in the shop I rinse them in my clean-out barrel. If I rinse them everyday they're usually ready to use the next day. Same with my aprons. I have way too many towels in the shop and they take up a lot of room, aprons too. So I plan on going through my pile and culling the rags! I probably just need a couple of aprons and a couple of towels at the ready. Of course when you're glazing or throwing 75! pots you may need more towelage!
Go Ron!

That towel has had it. Luckily my mom-in-law replaces her towels regularly. I have a fair supply. And the rain? Ive been leaving my clay towels laying in the yard! Letting mother nature do the work!

Yikes Hannah, that sounds rough. The 'dark season'. Do you really call it that? Well, turns out it's cold and rainy here today, so no sunshine after all. Get that fireplace going.

Did you say dry it in the sun!?!?! What is that thing? Remind me do. It's only just the start of the dark season and I'm going doolally all ready. Yesterday was about minus 3 and then the almost frozen rain started dragged in by the fierce wind. Today feels calmer so far but my fiingers are chilly and I haven't been out into the world yet.
