The porch should be finished by the end of the week if not sooner.  I had a pretty productive weekend, mainly making bowls and mugs and such.   A few pots came out of the kiln.  Most of them had clothes line deco but I did have a few experiments like the bowl above.  I’m working out glazing ideas as I go.  This isn’t my ideal solution, nor even my ideal palette.  I’m not quite sure how I’m going to approach this new imagery as far as glazing goes.

IMG_0083Hopefully I’ll finish up two gallery orders this week and fire again over the weekend.

    I love following your work Ron. Especially the new tests. I have been potting for 3-4 years and am still searching for the look/form I like…at least for now. :)

    I like the little bits of color and the color edge- adds another element to the pot.

    Ron, the rabbits on the pot in the first picture remind me of the “real” rabbits in The Velveteen Rabbit.

    I think the bunny bowl is my favorite thing I have ever seen of your work!!! LOVE IT! Looks like going to Penland was totally worth it for you, very inspired work :)

    This series really looks good. I also love the bunny bowl. & I agree with Tracey- Penland was truly inspirational for you. I like the little hints of color too. Congrats on some great work!

    I really like your old drawings, but these are awesome too! The animals still have great character even with the more realistic proportions. So excited to see what’s next!
